Nike Donates Equipment to Frontline Healthcare Workers

Once again, Nike directs a clear message of gratitude to healthcare professionals.

In recognition of the role of frontline healthcare workers in combating COVID-19 around the world, Nike will partner with Good360 in the United States and local organizations across Europe to donate more than 140,000 pieces of footwear, apparel and equipment globally.

The brand will donate 30,000 pairs of Nike Air Zoom Pulse shoes to health systems and hospitals in Chicago, Los Angeles, Memphis and New York City, as well as to facilities under the Veterans Health Administration. Moreover, an additional 2,500 pairs are being donated to hospitals across Europe, including facilities in Barcelona, Berlin, London, Milan, Paris and Belgium.

The Nike Air Zoom Pulse is a shoe that’s designed specifically for everyday heroes: Nurses, doctors, home health providers and others who work tirelessly to support patients. More importantly, this particular shoe’s fit, cushioning and traction systems work together to ensure secure footing in the dynamic conditions of hospitals.

Previously, Nike has also committed more than USD 25 million towards COVID-19 response efforts in communities around the world . The brand also donated full-face shields and air-purifying respirator (PAPR) lenses to help protect healthcare workers against the coronavirus.
