Eddie Murphy’s Comeback in Netflix’s “Dolemite Is My Name”
After his long hiatus from the entertainment industry, Academy Award-nominated comedy king Eddie Murphy is set to return as 1970s Blaxploitation star Rudy Ray Moore. Netflix’s official synopsis hints out that the movie will revolve around the life of Moore and his attempt of making a film obscene storytelling pimp alter-ego “Dolemite”. Big names such as Wesley Snipes and Snoop Dogg will also star alongside Murphy in this upcoming Blaxploitation flick, due to come out this fall.
F1 Veteran Marc Webber Stars in Boss x Porsche Fall 2019 Campaign
Former professional racing driver Marc Webber stars in another Boss and Porsche’s collaboration for fall-winter 2019. With the campaign’s video message “Race Ahead”, Webber—who’s famously known during his time in F1—showcases the collection’s sophisticated and contemporary key pieces while spinning a track in a Porsche Panamera Sport.
Marc Jacobs to Be Awarded as The First MTV Fashion Trailblazer Award at The VMAs
With the announcement of MTV’s partnership with the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA), it also announced that Marc Jacobs will be the recipient of its very first Fashion Trailblazer Award. In a statement released by MTV, it is said to pay tribute to fashion designers who have “made an indelible impact with the world of music-artist fashion.” The award will be presented to the former Louis Vuitton creative director on August 26, 2019. It is reported that the designer and his design team are creating a surprising spectacle on the VMA’s red carpet “designed to travel across social platforms.”
