HEY MICKEY. Fashion and art are two fields that have lately become more closely related. The latest collaborators to jump on the fashion-art partnership bandwagon are designer Marc Jacobs and widely celebrated artist Damien Hirst, who both share the same enthusiasm for Mickey Mouse
Hirst has initially created a painting using his signature spot technique based on the Disney icon, which was sold for $1.5 million at Christie’s. Jacobs then put that very drawing into a line of limited edition unisex T-shirts. The proceeds from both the painting and the T-shirts will be donated to Kids Company, a United Kingdom-based charity organization that supports children and young people.
