DENIM KINGS. What happens when a Japanese designer meets a denim maker? Just check out Junya Watanabe’s latest venture with Levi’s. After producing a series of denim trousers that quickly became a fashion sensation, the designer continues to work with the iconic denim brand for a special collection.
It comprises two styles: The Patchwork jacket, which emulates the construction of Watanabe’s wildly popular trousers using the Japanese “boro” technique; and the Dobby jacket, which boasts a linear pattern that is added with patterned elbow patches. With Watanabe’s signature touches all over these two jackets, this is definitely a collection to die for.
