LEATHER LEADER. The appointment of a creative director to a fashion house is much like a sacred matrimony.
Although the vanguard Jonathan Anderson of J.W. Anderson and the understated fashion leather brand Loewe might seem a bit of an odd couple, they might just make it in the long run. Having made a lasting impression by bedecking his male models in ruffled tube tops and lace jumpsuits, Anderson plans to merge the seemingly contradictory brand’s values by infusing innovation to tradition, bringing his Irish Catholic heritage and Spain’s deep-rooted history of art into copulation. Anderson’s holy union with Loewe once again proves that opposites really do attract.
