MODERN HEROES. Adidas and cult designer Yohji Yamamoto, who have been collaborating for many years for the Y-3 brand, are now working on a special project for the world’s richest football club, Real Madrid.
Using his vivid imagination, Yamamoto envisions a heroic story that positions the allstar players of Real Madrid as modern-day heroes. He then designs a mythical creature, a hybrid between a dragon and a bird, symbolizing strength, determination and power. Appearing on the team jerseys, the creature comes in monochromatic black; while for the football boots, it majestically transforms into vibrant colors.
