New Colors for Code 11.59 by Audemars Piguet

Intense colors, two-tone treatment and more for some of the most casually stylish watches around…

Last year, Audemars Piguet—the oldest fine watchmaking manufacturer still in the hands of its founding families—added a new collection to its lineup that includes the legendary Royal Oak, Millenary and Jules Audemars: the Code 11.59. Ergonomic, unisex and contemporary, these watches highlight the brand’s inspiring creativity and technical mastery.

This year, the Code 11.59 by Audemars Piguet returns with new twists of color. To be exact, there are five new Code 11.59 by Audemars Piguet Chronographs and five new Selfwinding date, hour, minute and second models. And the aforementioned new colors include burgundy, blue, purple and gray for the sunburst lacquered dial on each model.

On the Selfwinding models, the combination of smoky colors, state-of-the-art sunburst pattern and the smooth finishing for the lacquer give off a particularly refined appearance. And there are plenty of other aesthetic design choices that would entice watch afficionados everywhere—from the contrast between the red shades of the burgundy model with its 18K white gold case to the 18K pink gold hour markers and hands that add a dash of lively tones against the smoked grey sunburst lacquered dial. The combination of hand-finished matte and mirror surfaces, in particular, is something that longtime fans of Audemars Piguet will definitely appreciate.

On to the technical aspects of the new Code 11.59 by Audemars Piguet watches, the Selfwinding Chronographs and Selfwinding date, hour, minute and second models feature selfwinding mechanisms with 70 hours of power reserve and water resistance to 30m. The Selfwinding Chronograph models, in particular, are powered by the calibre 4401, whose intricate mechanism is visible through the watch’s sapphire caseback.
