With its new range, Nespresso pays tribute to Italy’s historical and diverse coffee culture
The Nespresso story began over 30 years ago with a simple yet revolutionary idea inspired by the espresso machine invented in 1905 by Luigi Bezzera, who wanted to give everyone the opportunity to create the perfect cup of espresso just like a skilled barista. Today, over 75 percent of coffees produced in Italy are enjoyed at home, making the brew an integral part of Italian culture.
Continuing this proud tradition, Nespresso introduced its latest intense coffee range, the Ispiraziona Italiana. Two brand new blends are added to the current intense espresso and ristretto ranges. Each coffee is inspired by the diversity of Italian cities; from Rome (Roma), Florence (Firenze), Palermo, Naples (Napoli) to Genova and Venice (Venezia).
The two new blends include Izpirazione Napoli that is inspired by the streets of Naples, leavened with Robusta for a velvety, creamy cup with an extremely thick body and a pleasant bitter aftertaste. Then there is Ispirazione Venezia, delicately aromatic with caramel notes and thick body. The other entries in the collection—Ispirazione Ristretto Italiano, Ispirazione Firenze Arpeggio, Ispirazione Palermo Kazaar, Ispirazione Roma and Ispirazione Genova Livanto—each presents its own characteristic flavor profile to complete the perfect coffee experience in the convenience of your own home.
“For over 30 years, our team, compromised of coffee roasters, sensory experts, food scientists and engineers have embarked on a journey to create a selection of blends that are inspired by Italy’s rich historical coffee culture. We’re so pleased to have curated a permanent collection that focuses on telling the richer story of Nespresso and enable customers to reproduce the same style of coffees that they would find in an Italian bar,” stated Mark Ashlin Senior, Director of Nespresso Indonesia.
