Placebo’s seventh album tells that the band that manages to stick together since 1994 is still fully alive and kicking.
Falling under the alternative rock genre, the three-piece band seems to absorb diverse influences, including the current trend of digitalization that is apparent in one of their singles. Titled “Too Many Friends,” the song plays out a story about so many friends one has rarely or never met. The lyrics also hint at LGBT issues, which are not essentially a new thing for the band since the lead frontman Bryan Molko is openly bisexual and the bassist Stefan Osdal is openly gay.
