Have you heard? Warner Bros. Picture Group Chairman Toby Emmerich has announced that a fourth Matrix film is set to begin production by 2020. The trilogy’s original director Lana Wachowski is set to write and direct, while original cast members Keanu Reeves and Carrie-Anne Moss are set to reprise their roles as Neo and Trinity.
According to Variety, Warner Bros. studio has been “trying to find a way to get back” into “The Matrix” universe for the last of couple years, but the project was slowed down due to producing rights conflicts. But with Reeves’ strong summer, thanks to box office hits “John Wick 3” and “Toy Story 4” and a script from Wachowski that “drummed up excitement” over the past couple of months, the studio saw an opportunity to get back on the project development.
The fourth Matrix movie plot details are still unknown, as well as whether Morpheus will be also making a comeback or not. As we wait for the upcoming movie, let’s look back at the iconic looks from the movie.
