Following several variants of the Pajero Sport that were assembled at Mitsubishi’s production facility in Bekasi, West Java—namely the DAKAR 4&#215;2, DAKAR 4&#215;2 Ultimate and DAKAR 4&#215;4—PT. Mitsubishi Motors Krama Yudha Sales Indonesia (MMKSI), as an authorized distributor of Mitsubishi Motors Corporation (MMC) in Indonesia, launched additional variants to coincide with the opening of the Mitsubishi Motors special exhibition held at Mall kelapa Gading, Jakarta in mid-January. 
Two models in particular are set to become the highlights for 2018. First up is the Mitsubishi Pajero Sport EXCEED 4&#215;2 at, which has proven to be quite the attention grabber with its new 18-inch alloy wheels and rear spoiler, to say nothing of the leather seats inside. The Mitsubishi Pajero Sport GLX 4&#215;4 is no less exciting, with automatic air-conditioner as its primary new addition.“Reinvigoration for the EXCEED 4&#215;2 AT and GLX 4&#215;4 variants of Pajero Sport is a form of appreciation for the enthusiasm of the loyal clientelle of Mitsubishi passenger cars in Indonesia,” says Kyoya Kondo, president of MMKSI. 
Looking back through the line’s history in Indonesia there has been a notable increase in terms of local content in the various Pajero Sports variants assembled in Indonesia. Initially, the number stood at around 29 percent; now it stands at 34 percent . Naturally, this percentage will gradually be increased. 
Of these two new variants, the 2018 model of the Pajero Sport EXCEED 4&#215;2 AT really caught our eye. For one, it offers a fresh take on the basic Pajero Sport design and features various developments that really sets it apart from its competitors.

As mentioned earlier, the interior of the EXCEED 4&#215;2 AT, has been given quite a face-lift with leather seats for a much more elegant proposition. More importantly, though, the roomy interior gives you and your passengers generous head and legroom as well as plenty of in-cabin storage space. The second row seats can recline, slide or tumble, depending on your needs. a center armrest with cup holders and air vents all the way to the rear give passengers an added measure of comfort. The third row seats, meanwhile, comfortably sit two extra people or can be easily folded to create a wide and flat storage space. It’s not exactly a new setup, but it certainly makes the car much more flexible. 
Meanwhile, adventure calls from the well appointed cockpit, which surrounds you with comfortable supports, solid craftsmanship, intelligent features and a wide open view. The cabin and dashboard comes with a special design, highlighted by premium and classy touches with a glossy black finish. With its 4-spoke steering wheel with audio steering switch and MID mode selector, the Pajero Sport gives off a clear modern vibe. 
Moreover, the interior design team has definitely come up with a good plan for this model. From refined meters to sophisticated floor consoles, every feature is fine-tuned to enhance your driving pleasure and keep you in confident control. Music, navigation and premium entertainment system all come to life on the central 6.5-inch display screen.

Moving to the car’s exterior, two elements stand out. The new 18-inch alloy wheels impart a sporty feel to the EXCEED 4&#215;2 AT, while the rear spoiler makes for a very modern statement. 
At its core Pajero Sport EXCEED is powered by a 2.5L DI Commonrail Turbo Diesel Engine. But it’s the pairing with the 5-speed automatic transmission that provides the optimum balance of engine power, fuel economy and interior quietness. This transmission improves fuel efficiency while providing smooth acceleration. 
The handling and ride balance for this model comes from its redesigned suspension geometry and upgraded suspension components. For front face design, the new model also features slim halogen Projector headlamps with the fog lights set low on the front bumper.
