For the first time in Asia, and only the third on the planet (after Milan and Paris), Men’s Fashion Week (MFW) 2011 will be held in Singapore from March 30, 2011 to April 3, 2011.
The five-day couture extravaganza for men will showcase the fall-winter 2011 collections from over a dozen renowned brands from Singapore and the world.
MFW 2011 Singapore’s Chairman, Frank Cintamani recently told the press, &#8220;Men&#8217;s style consciousness has come of age and men&#8217;s fashion has come out from the shadows of the female-centric fashion industry &#8230; this is an opportune time for a Men&#8217;s Fashion Week to be held in this part of the world, with Singapore as the ideal place, given that the cosmopolitan city-state is increasingly recognized as the region&#8217;s fashion hub.&#8221;
He added that they &#8220;envision MFW 2011 Singapore to serve as an opportunity for regional and local menswear designers to showcase their collection, alongside the internationally renowned labels; and it will also cement Singapore’s position as the &#8216;go to&#8217; country in search of quality, renowned menswear brands.&#8221;
