Meaningful Juxtaposition on Prada’s Fall/Winter 2022 Menswear Campaign

Italian luxury fashion house Prada has presented its fall/winter 2022 menswear campaign.

For this campaign, the house enlisted the help of three actors, “Jurassic Park” star Jeff Goldblum, Rami Malek, and Damson Idris. The focal point of the campaign is a unique story performed through a series of black-and-white images, captured by David Sims. These images are juxtaposed with still-life photographs showing objects meaningful to each actor. Goldblum’s portrait, for instance, is positioned next to an image of a teddy bear. While Elba’ image is juxtaposed with a picture of a spiderweb-printed balloon and Malek’s is presented alongside a photo of a lit-up birthday candle. All these juxtapositions serve as a visual dialogue that express each actor’s personalities, while highlighting key looks from the house’s collection.
