MB&F Relaunches the HM9 ‘Flow’ Red Gold

After releasing the HM9 roughly a year ago, MB&F is re-releasing the iconic model in 18k 5N+ red gold, called the HM9 “Flow” Red Gold. Limited to only 18 examples, the model is a meant to pay respect to the golden age of automobiles and aircraft from the 1940s and ’50s, which produced iconic designs the world has ever seen.

Just like the original HM9, the “Flow” comes in two variations, Air and Road. What sets both variation apart most notably lies in the minor details, which are the the dial configuration. Another thing that distinguish the variation is that while the Air variant looks like it’s been lifted straight out of a cockpit dashboard of instruments, the Road version took its inspiration from a car speedometer.

But the differences doesn’t end there. The Air version features a blackened movement and rhodium-plated balance wheels, while the Road version has rhodium-plating on the movement as well as red gold balance wheels. While the original HM9 was made available to 66 pieces, the Flow will be limited to 18 pieces with a $198,000 price tag.
