After teasing the release in late October, Louis Vuitton and NIGO’s second collaborative collection has recently arrived online and is now available for purchase.
Virgil Abloh described this second collaboration with NIGO as “new generation menswear” and a “new generation of design.” Abloh also said that the pair had turned up “the fidelity” for the second time around. After sharing the trailer for NIGO x Louis Vuitton LV2, the full collection has officially landed on Louis Vuitton’s website. A capsule which celebrates Nigo’s Japanese provenance as well as investigating the pair’s diverse cultural roots under the global emblem of Louis Vuitton, this extensive pre-spring 2022 offering ranges from footwear and outerwear, to jewelry and plate sets.
The reworked LV Trainers feature the collection’s duck motif, as well monogram denim and black, each of which compasses leather goods and accessories. The emblematic Oberkampf Ankle Boot, which comes in either black of ‘Moka’, boasts patches with Louis Vuitton x NIGO signatures, and press studs that can be removed or interchanged to create different looks. Full denim looks, leather jackets, kimono shirts, turtleneck sweatshirts, monogram bags and duck-adorned cups further catch the eye, alongside a Damier Suit, fleeces and more.
