Louis Vuitton demonstrates exceptional savoir-faire and high artisanal quality in its first billiards table
For more than 150 years, Louis Vuitton has accompanied travelers and designed trunks to carry their belongins—as well as their games. From chess and backgammon travel cases to poker and croquet trunks, the house’s made-to-order games collection has expanded—continuing Louis Vuitton’s grandson, Gaston-Louis Vuitton’s, love of sports and games—and evolved over the years. Recently, Louis Vuitton has continued its gaming-themed releases by showcasing its first billiards table after introducing a special made-to-order foosball table earlier this year.
The brand’s first billiards table is available in the iconic Monogram motif—designed in 1896 by Louis Vuitton’s son Georges Vuitton as a tribute to his father—and it comes in the darker Monogram Eclipse or Damier Graphite that brings a patterned touch to any interior. There are also otherversions in Epi leather with a splash of color in cyan, fuchsia along with the added option of a bi-colored navy and pistachio variation or caramel and white in smooth leather.
More importantly, the emblematic Louis Vuitton savoir-faire elevates the table’s design with delicate tanned cowhide leather corners and hand-pressed metallic hardware, where each stud engraved with Louis Vuitton’s signature.
In addition, as Louis Vuitton’s canvases and leathers sheath the billiards table’s wooden body, it is also completed by essential accessories including balls painted with flowers from the Monogram pattern encircling the numbers, a hot-stamped leather triangle, two pairs of leather and Monogram two-piece cues.
Above all, the handcrafted billiards table from Louis Vuitton masterfully combines the brand’s savoir-faire and longstanding love for all sports.
