All-American actor Logan Shroyer reflects on his evolving craft, what lies ahead and his recent appearance in Lalisa’s music video.

From film sets to television screens—and now the global stages of fashion and music—Logan Shroyer’s creative journey refuses to stay in one lane. Known primarily for his work as an actor, he has recently expanded his presence through projects like &#8220;Elle&#8221; and an appearance in Lalisa’s music video, signaling a natural evolution of his artistic reach. In this DAMAN exclusive, Shroyer speaks about navigating different creative spaces, staying grounded while moving between worlds and how travel and lived experience continue to shape his perspective. Thoughtful and curious, he approaches creativity as something to be built, refined and expanded over time.
DAMAN: Hi Logan. Let’s start with your upcoming project. &#8220;Elle&#8221; explores the high school years of one of pop culture’s most iconic characters. What excited you most about joining a series that expands the &#8220;Legally Blonde&#8221; universe? 
Logan Shroyer: What excited me most was honestly just getting to play in that world. I’ve always loved the ’90s, especially the wardrobe and &#8220;Elle&#8221; really leans into that in a fun, immersive way. Almost every scene I was part of had big sets, tons of background actors and a real sense of scale.
DA: Without giving too much away, what can you share about your character and how he fits into Elle Woods’ early journey? 
LS: I really can’t say much. We meet my character and a young Elle in this very lavish ’90s Beverly Hills world and he fits naturally into that early chapter of her life.

DA: You’ve grown up in front of the camera, taking on roles that seem to evolve alongside you. How do you feel your craft has matured over the years? 
LS: My acting teacher, Stuart Rogers, once said that everyone has a universe within them. Over time, I’ve realized I don’t need to be clever or force my own idea of who a character should be. Instead, I try to express each role more authentically and from where I’m at rather than shaping it into something predefined.
DA: Looking back, was there a moment that changed how you see yourself as an actor? 
LS: I feel like defining moments happen all the time but letting career moments define how I see myself can be detrimental. There are so many ups and downs in this business and in the process of acting itself. I look to my Heavenly Father to define me and I try to work from a place of expression and discovery rather than control.
DA: What’s one role or project that challenged you the most and what did it teach you? 
LS: I have a lot of examples, especially from the work I do in acting class. One defining moment for me was playing Konstantin in &#8220;The Seagull.&#8221; I was completely freaking out and all over the place which actually makes a lot of sense for Konstantin. Instead of trying to control that, I had to embrace the chaos and jump off the cliff from there. That experience has stayed with me and it’s something I carry into every scene.

DA: When you’re preparing for a new role, are there any rituals or practices that help you get into the right headspace? 
LS: At Stuart Rogers Studios, we do something called “arrival,” which is really about being present and connected to yourself. For me, that usually starts with getting into my body through movement and stretching, taking a few slow breaths and letting everything begin from there.
DA: You recently appeared in Lalisa’s “FUTW” music video, which went viral almost immediately. How did that opportunity come about? 
LS: My manager, Duncan, texted me. It’s funny how some of these things happen. It was the night before—I connected with the director a few hours later and was shooting the next morning. Things often move fast.
DA: After seeing her work up close, what stood out to you most about Lisa as an artist? 
LS: First of all, it’s insanely impressive how many languages she speaks. I was really captivated by her ability to switch on a dime, going from being pretty mellow and just hanging out to delivering these high-octane Lalisa performances. She’s a beast.

DA: When you need to recharge, what do you usually turn to? 
LS: I struggle with resting and recharging, so I’ve had to think about it a lot. Surfing is great and so is reading a good book. Sometimes it’s as simple as sitting by a campfire or taking a walk in nature. Spending quiet time with Jesus is also a big part of how I reset.
DA: What’s something people might not know about your life off set that feels central to who you are? 
LS: My faith in Christ is really the foundation of who I am and what shapes me and I’d hope that anyone who gets to know me even for a little while would feel that. In a way, everything matters and in another way, none of it does. It all comes back to Jesus. If He is who He said He is then that changes everything.

DA: We noticed Indonesia has its own spot in your Instagram Highlights. What’s the story behind that? Was there a particular place, meal or moment that made it stand out? 
LS: That was a last-minute trip to Bali with the great Mitchell McCormack himself. DAMAN hosted me at an incredible party in Jakarta and then a few of us spent the next week or so hopping around Bali. It’s one of my favorite trips I’ve ever taken and Indonesia is absolutely gorgeous.
DA: Finally, if you could share one message with your audience about what’s coming next for you, what would it be? 
LS: The truth is, I don’t really know. I just hope whatever comes next is embodied, truthful work both in front of and behind the camera.
