A CLEAN SWEEP. It’s always interesting to see what brands and designers alike can do with reclaimed material. Take, for instance, the Broom chair designed by Emeco in collaboration with noted French designer Philippe Starck
The chairs are made using waste polypropylene (the plastic material you see in everything from bottle tops to stationary folders) and reclaimed wood fiber. So, debris that usually ends up being swept away into the trash finds a new purpose as pieces of minimalist furniture with contemporary lines. Of course, that bit about being swept away is where the name of this product comes from.
