Following the success of Palazzo Versace Dubai, Versace brings its signature baroque charm to the heart of Macau’s Cotai Strip with Palazzo Versace Macau. The Italian house’s first hotel in Asia finds its home in the expansive Grand Lisboa Palace Macau Resort complex. It has 271 rooms and suites, as well as a series of luxury facilities.

Donatella Versace herself, welcomed guests to the event alongside Daisy Ho, the Managing Director of SJM Resorts. Among the gentlemen in the stellar lineup were American singer-songwriter John Legend, Taiwanese actor Austin Lin and Thai actor Blue Pongtiwat Tangwanchareon. Versace’s global brand ambassador Rosy Zhao, model Chrissy Teigen and Korean star Shin Hye-sun also attended the glittering affair.
At the reception, guests were greeted by a sculptural installation in the form of a dragon perched on top of Romanesque columns encircling the pool, as a nod to the Year of the Dragon. Guests then proceeded to the Jardim Secreto where harpist Dan Yu and a quintet of musicians from the Macau Orchestra awaited with lovely performances. Attendees were later led to The Grand Pavilion for Versace Signatures for an inspiring exhibition, featuring the maison’s signature designs including pieces from the Atelier Versace to iconic ready-to-wear items.
Lavish flavors were also celebrated during the event. The hotel’s grand opening saw an exquisite banquet that highlighted the glory of Chinese cuisine. A drum performance by a group of Macanese talents accompanied the diner as they indulged in the delicacies. As the cherry on top, John Legend took to the stage for an unforgettable performance.
