THE BEAUTY and quality of Japanese denim has become a source of inspiration for Levi’s Made in Japan collections. This highly coveted denim is produced through traditional techniques using hand shuttle looms, with American methods introduced later on for added refinement. For the Made in Japan collection, Levi’s gathered denim from the Kaihara Denim Mill in Hiroshima, which uses a special dyeing technique to create indigo denim. Moreover, the brand worked with sewing company SAAB. Featuring a new contemporary twist, including distinct color patches and embroidery techniques, Levi’s promises a stunning denim offering for its spring/summer 2024 collection, bringing with it an elevated take on denim that is much more accessible.
