French fashion house Lanvin is ready for a significant transformation driven by Peter Copping’s fresh perspective and decades of experience

After several collections conceived under the direction of an in-house design team, Lanvin has finally found a perfect replacement for Bruno Sialelli since his departure in April 2023: Peter Copping. The British designer has been officially appointed as the maison’s new artistic director leading both the womenswear and menswear collections.
Copping himself is no stranger to the fashion business. After graduating from Central Saint Martins and the Royal College of Art in London, he began his career in various brands, from Sonia Rykiel to Louis Vuitton, where he worked alongside Marc Jacobs. He was also named a creative director of Nina Ricci in Paris and Oscar de la Renta in New York. Recently, the designer served as head of couture at Balenciaga. With this impressive portfolio, Copping is perfectly positioned to begin a new and exciting chapter at Lanvin.
Regarding this appointment, Siddharta Shukla, Deputy CEO of Lanvin, said: “Peter Copping’s arrival at Lanvin is an important milestone in the renaissance of one of the great French maison’s.
