More than three months since departing her nearly decade long service at Joseph, we finally find out where Louise Trotter’s next house will be. In case you missed our headline, it’s the house of croc, Lacoste.
The French brand announce Trotter’s arrival as Creative Director earlier this month. The very first female to lead the creative direction of Lacoste, the British designer will present her first collection during the next fashion week in Paris.
“I am delighted to join this French brand with such a unique heritage. For 85 years, the modernity of the Lacoste style lies in this singular fusion of sport and fashion. I am proud to contribute to the writing of a new chapter in its history,” says Trotter.
Louise Trotter is an experienced designer known for her talent to define precise silhouettes both elegant and relaxed. Before spending nine years with Joseph, she was with Jigsaw, Tommy Hilfiger and GAP. But it was during her tenure at Joseph that puts her name on the map, thanks to her gender biased creations as well as exceptional leather goods – both of which are what Lacoste is quite the expert at.
