We were welcomed with open arms at KLEO Seminyak, Southeast Asia’s first JdV by Hyatt boutique hotel. Located just a 45-minute drive from Ngurah Rai International Airport, the property sits in the heart of Petitenget, one of Seminyak’s most dynamic enclaves. It is steps from the sun-drenched shores of Petitenget Beach and within easy walking distance of chic boutiques, buzzy cafés and iconic destinations such as Potato Head Beach Club, one of Bali’s most celebrated social hubs.

Over the course of three days, the hotel revealed that its greatest innovation lies in its ability to turn guests into temporary locals, seamlessly weaving them into the rhythm of Seminyak life. After settling in, the KLEO Seminyak team guided us through a site inspection that felt less like a formal tour and more like an artistic walk-through.
<h2>The Art of Unwinding</h2>
Every space tells a story, from the curated lobby to the lush event areas, but the true unwinding began with a Crystal Sound Healing session held in the hotel’s event space. Reclining as singing bowls and crystalline tones filled the room, we felt travel fatigue slowly dissolve—an ideal prelude to the evening ahead.
As dusk approached, we made our way up to Rooftop Social on the fourth floor. Cocktail in hand, we watched the sky shift into streaks of orange and pink over the Seminyak skyline. The energy up here is infectious—social, stylish and warm in a way that feels unmistakably Balinese.
Dinner followed at Zia Tina, the hotel’s Italian restaurant just an elevator ride away. The meal unfolded as a communal celebration, with handmade pasta, generous plates and easy laughter shared around the table.

The night continued at EAZY Bar, the newly opened lobby-adjacent spot where crafted cocktails and relaxed vibes flow freely under the direction of Jan Jurecka. This speakeasy-style bar transports guests to a tranquil garden setting, with signature offerings such as the Brisket Negroni and Strawberry Cheesecake cocktail setting the tone—an effortless segue from mindful relaxation to indulgence and a hint of how deeply food and craft are woven into the KLEO experience.

The next morning began with a generous breakfast at Zia Tina—do not skip the eggs and coffee—followed by a bracelet-making workshop focused on the meditative art of Rudraksha jewelry. As the Balinese breeze swept across the deck, we crafted personal tokens of well-being using Rudraksha seeds, tying intention into something tangible to take home. It was a quiet, grounding moment of mindfulness.
One of the trip’s highlights came next: the Wild Cooking Class, also hosted at Zia Tina. Equal parts culinary lesson and lighthearted entertainment, the session had us chopping, stirring and laughing our way through the preparation of an Italian-inspired feast. Hands-on, heartwarming and deeply satisfying, it was an experience that lingered well beyond the final dish.

In the afternoon, we explored the art of perfume-making with Republic of Soap, a local brand that mirrors KLEO’s creative spirit. Crafting a personal scent felt like capturing a distilled memory of Seminyak itself. As sunset approached, we wandered over to the Beach Bar at Alila Seminyak for golden-hour cocktails by the ocean. The shift from KLEO’s urban chic to Alila’s beachfront elegance highlighted the neighborhood’s remarkable diversity. Dinner followed at Seasalt, where seafood-driven cuisine and coastal sophistication came together in a memorable culinary performance.

Our final morning unfolded at an unhurried pace—one last breakfast at Zia Tina, a leisurely packing ritual and a comforting Italian sandwich lunch at Deli Island next door. By the time we checked out, we felt nourished in every sense: well-rested, creatively inspired and deeply connected to this corner of Bali.
While the aesthetic leaves a strong first impression—a seamless blend of clean lines, local artistry and playful personality that makes you feel both inspired and instantly at home—it is the feeling that lingers long after departure.
