Hublot introduces Jung Kook as its new Global Brand Ambassador at a spectacular Seoul event, where watchmaking’s Art of Fusion meets one of music’s most influential performers.

There are partnerships in luxury that feel manufactured—two names placed side by side for the sake of visibility. And then there are rare, almost inevitable collisions between two forces that have been moving toward each other for years without either realizing it. The story of Hublot and Jung Kook belongs firmly to the latter.
Not long ago, DA MAN was invited to Seoul for such a moment. The official union was announced on February 12, 2026, at a spectacular event in the South Korean capital that gathered more than 300 guests under one roof and many more outside.

While devoted fans pressed against the barriers beyond the entrance, inside, fashion personalities, tastemakers and members of the press from around the world assembled in a space curated with the same precision Hublot applies to its watchmaking. The Big Bang Original Unico collection anchored the room. Towering billboards framed the space. An unmistakable electricity filled the air—one that even the most seasoned among us could hardly ignore. Then the lights shifted and Jung Kook walked in.
The reaction was immediate and visceral. Yet what struck us most was not the spectacle but the logic of the moment. When Hublot CEO Julien Tornare took the stage alongside his new ambassador, what followed felt less like a formal brand announcement and more like the closing of a circle.

Those familiar with watchmaking will know Hublot’s origin story well. In 1980, the brand committed an act of beautiful defiance by pairing a gold case with a rubber strap in an industry governed by inherited rules. Hublot arrived not with a whisper but a bang and called that philosophy the Art of Fusion. Then in 2005 the Big Bang arrived and turned the volume to an entirely new level—bold, layered and unapologetically contemporary. So visually arresting and technically ambitious was the watch that it claimed the Design Watch Prize at the Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève that same year.
Jung Kook’s story follows a strikingly similar arc. Since his debut in 2013 he has blended genres and creative instincts much as Hublot did with watchmaking: taking established codes, fusing them with intuition and imagination and emerging with something that belongs to no category but his own.

The two had in fact already shared a stage without sharing a name. At the opening of the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar, Jung Kook performed “Dreamers” while Hublot served as the tournament’s Official Timekeeper. That night, as he later reflected, time and music felt connected. Standing in Seoul four years later, it was admittedly easy to understand exactly what he meant.
What gives this collaboration resonance beyond the spectacle of two global names meeting is the authenticity of the parallel between them. Both Hublot and Jung Kook have built their identities on the same wager: that originality, pursued seriously enough, becomes its own genre.

Tornare described his new ambassador as someone who embodies the spirit of evolution—always transforming, always original. Watching Jung Kook move through the room in Seoul, with the Big Bang Original Unico resting naturally on his wrist as though it had always belonged there, it was difficult to disagree.
We have attended many remarkable events in the name of watchmaking. Some are beautiful. Some are important. February 12, 2026—the night Seoul erupted thanks to Hublot and Jung Kook—was both.
