A continuation of the brand’s one-of-a-kind pop-up store
In October 2016, Tokyo’s Haneda International Airport played host to Hermès‘ one-day event, called “Nature of Men.” A brainchild of the brand’s head of menswear Veronique Nichanian, “Nature of Men” was a fashion show and a pop-up store, rolled into one jaw-dropping spectacle.
On that day, the airport hangar was turned into a mini-city with rooms dedicated to Hermès’ signature items. The concept of mini-city itself was based on an illustration by Nigel Peake, Irish illustrator and longtime Hermès collaborator.
Although the event only lasted for one day, Peake’s illustrations managed to be preserved and translated into “Nature of Men” capsule collection. Available in select stores in Tokyo, the capsule collection consists of a T-shirt, a pull-over, a pair of sneakers, a losange, a card-holder and a wallet.
