One of the most influential designers of his generation, Haider Ackermann has joined Canada Goose to celebrate his comeback into the world of haute couture.

Since 2018, avant-garde designer Haider Ackermann has put his eponymous label on hiatus while occasionally designing for a one-off Jean Paul Gaultier couture collection and working on celebrity red-carpet looks. But now, the designer has been appointed as Canada Goose’s first-ever creative director. In a stark departure of Ackermann’s signature design approach, his direction for Canada Goose will focus on the authentic heritage of the luxury brand. In addition, the designer’s precise and innovative tailoring will be the main appeal of his upcoming collections. To mark the appointment of Ackermann at Canada Goose, the brand is launching a special edition hoodie. Ackermann’s first collection will arrive this fall.
