This season, Ted Baker combines their appetite for adventure and continual development of their menswear collections.
The SS19 collection blends the cultural learning and unforgettable experiences from global voyages with three decades of experience, setting out the future direction of his menswear.
Employing Nordic-inspired neutrals to kick off the season, contrasted with khaki as a new neutral shade, before going into full technicolour with saturated tropical brights. Along the way, prints are inspired by travel destinations across the continent of Africa with inspirations from jungles and savannahs alike, before finishing up in good ol’ Blighty foraging for a uniquely British twist.
New methods, silhouettes and materials have been explored including quilted jersey shirts, a bright yellow gilet, and a half-zip jersey polo with double pockets that has an exotic touch. The brand’s updated their trademark florals and modern geometrics with fresh pops of colour, such as azure blue and deep fuchsia, maintaining the eclectic, vibrant spirit.
Meanwhile shorts are in abundance with bold florals co-ordinating with shirt styles. A five-pocket trouser should be all you need to travel the globe in style. A little tropical glamour is infused into the eveningwear, with darker short sleeve shirts, colour block tees, linen-blend polos, floral jackets, and a reimagined take on the classic loafer.
