Too much or just right?
Quintessential American brands have their own ways to display their nationalism. Tommy Hilfiger, for one, has his red, white and blue colorways; a tribute to the American flag.
But what can be more American than a bald eagle, soaring in the sky against a bed of clouds?
Heron Preston, a rising designer who has collaborated with the likes of Kanye West before, knows this to be true. So he goes all the way to incorporate the animal into his new collaborative collection. He even teams up with one of the most iconic American brands out there: Gap.
Using an airbrush technique, the image of the eagle is hand-painted on the hoodie. And as if a lone bald eagle isn’t enough, Preston also adds other embellishments such as an embroidery of “The Gap is an iconic American brand for the people” and “USA” on the pants.
Both the hoodie and the pants will be sold as a set, and it’s already available for pre-order on the designer’s website.
