The Seiko Presage Classic Series once again bridges tradition and innovation with its latest creation: a limited edition featuring an unglazed Arita porcelain dial—a first for the collection. This new model explores fresh artistic territory, showcasing a matte surface and gentle tone that exude quiet elegance. By forgoing the usual glossy finish, the dial reveals delicate ridges and subtle depth, offering a tactile warmth and understated sophistication that contrast beautifully with the precision of Seiko’s engineering.
Each dial is a masterpiece of traditional craftsmanship created under the guidance of Arita porcelain master Hiroyuki Hashiguchi together with Toshiaki Kawaguchi and his team at a workshop that has been producing porcelain in Arita since 1830. The textured rhombus pattern that adorns the dial—an auspicious Japanese motif symbolizing longevity and good health—adds cultural depth while the gold-toned indexes and hands provide a refined contrast.
Paired with a black leather strap sourced from Leather Working Group–certified tanneries, this distinguished timepiece blends ethical artistry with aesthetic precision.
