One of key drivers behind Jakarta’s newest chic eatery/pub, Andrew Santoso of Urban Concepts, is well known among elite Jakartans for his fashionable places. Most hipsters, of a certain age, will remember his Retro nightclub, others are more familiar with his Cork & Screw wine bar or wildly successful Loewy. However, Jackrabbit might be the best one yet.
Opened in late December, the high-ceilinged affair offers “New American” cuisine from the hands of acclaimed Chef Juna Rorimpandey—including Braised Short Ribs accompanied by polenta with gorgonzola cheese or his Sous-Vide Duck Leg in a honey-fig reduction with cornbread.
But it’s not just about the fine fare, there is also some world-class tippling to be had here, courtesy of renowned mixologist Carson Quinn.
Actually, it’s not merely about the food or drinks, it’s really about the whole scene, and this is Jakarta’s newest place to be seen.
