TUXED THESPIANS. The lads attending this year’s Golden Globes jazzed up the night with a plethora of styles. DA MAN lists five top actors who dressed the best that night
Ryan Guzman
Even though a lot of actors stray away from the classics, Ryan Guzman still looked great while emulating that style. The dashing actor wore a neutral navy-blue tuxedo with a one-button peak lapel and bowtie, all by Ermenegildo Zegna. He was seen with Jennifer Lopez, his co-star in “The Boy Next Door,” on the red carpet and at the after-party, creating a buzz that both stars are dating.
Kit Harington
Kit Harington appeared dandy on the red carpet. The face of Jimmy Choo’s first men’s fragrance looked charming with shorter hair and in an Emporio Armani navy tuxedo. Harington completed the look with a rather large butterfly bow tie, a Bulgari Bulgari watch and Jimmy Choo Prescott loafers. There has been some speculations that he got rid of his long hair because his character died in the latest season of “Game of Thrones.”
Alan Cumming
Alan Cumming went for something playful for this year’s Golden Globe Awards. While it’s clearly not easy to pull off such a statement look, the witty actor appeared stylish with an all-khaki tux by Calvin Klein Collection. One particularly striking element was his debonair three-inch cuffs. He arrived at the award show confidently, arm-in-arm with best friend Monica Lewinsky, wearing bold-colored high-tops by Christian Loubutin.
Matt Bomer
Matt Bomer has never looked more sophisticated compared to how he appeared that night. The handsome actor chose a blue tuxedo with a twist on the trending shawl-collar. The look was even more stylish with an angular bowtie by Ralph Lauren. That night, he won the award for the best supporting actor in a series, mini-series or TV movie for his depiction of Felix Turner in the tear-jerking TV movie “The Normal Heart.”
Eddie Redmayne
Eddie Redmayne channeled a youthful and fresh vibe. The young British actor donned what people called a brave choice: Gucci’s velvet tux. Fortunately, everything looked on-point on him. The suit was perfectly tailored. The stylish thistle bowtie was also worth mentioning. During the award show, he took home the Golden Globe for the best actor in a motion picture for his portrayal of Stephen Hawking in “The Theory of Everything.”
