Hong Kong musician Jackson Wang took this year&#8217;s Met Gala theme seriously and stood out in a custom Louis Vuitton suit

It’s been a week since the 2023 Met Gala, but the euphoria that followed is still fresh on the minds of many. Naturally, the ongoing conversation focuses the guests’ interpretation of Karl Lagerfeld’s legacy. And on a much more specific note, the appearance of Jackson Wang inevitably became a major talking point as he did a brilliant job in channeling the theme.

Stepping on the red carpet, the former member of Korean group Got7 looked fabulous in an all-black Louis Vuitton ensemble. He chose a cropped double-breasted jacket with a mandarin collar, all custom-made using a wool-based fabric. The military-inspired jacket also features handmade embroidery resembling Louis Vuitton’s monogram flower. The embroidery itself required 80 hours to apply and the confection of the rest needed around 40 hours of work. That includes the matching slim-cut pants, which Wang paired with the exquisite jacket. For a final touch, Wang wore leather gloves, polished black boots and sunglasses.
