Pre-collections are often seen as pulling less weight than the seasonal ranges. For French brand Lanvin though, pre-collections serve like a serious warm-up before the main collection rushes in.
Having showcased mash-ups of fashion-forward jackets, relaxed suits and formal-with-an-attitude shirts on the spring/summer ’15 runway, the brand’s creative director Lucas Ossendrijver takes on a calmer suiting game for the pre-collection. Constructed from airy materials, the suits are designed in fluid lines to suit the wearer’s body contours. Such construction, thus, allows more flexibility in movement and enables the piece to be worn during the warmer days of summer.
