Ermenegildo Zegna & Fear Of God Collaborate for an Exclusive Unisex Collection

Italian luxury brand Ermenegildo Zegna joins forces with Californian sub cult fashion house Fear Of God for an exclusive unisex collection. The objective? Identifying and following a new path of masculine elegance that is also wearable for wom en.

Presented in early March during the Paris Women’s Fashion Week, the complete collection was made out of a spontaneous dialogue between Zegna’s artistic director, Alessandro Sartori, and Fear of God’s founder Jerry Lorenzo which came up with the idea of an aesthetic free from pre-built models and gender paradigms as much as possible.

“I design menswear but I always keep a woman in mind; I really love the way women wear men’s clothing. I have always been fascinated by Ermenegildo Zegna clothing and this collaboration provides my clients with the opportunity to experience tailoring stitched with freedom, which I think Zegna customers will also enjoy,” affirms Jerry Lorenzo.

The conversation led to a continuous cross-reference between Milan and Los Angeles which reinvents silhouettes and proportion. It naturally blends Ermenegildo Zegna’s excellence in tailoring and the sophisticated leisurewear of Fear of God.

“We have worked with great balance, without our ego’s ever surpassing one another, to create a unique new wardrobe. A perfect synthesis of our two souls: clothes to wear at any time of the day in order to feel good. And this is only the beginning, as our conversation has just begun,” Alessandro Sartori explained.

The collection presents a range of neutral colored numbers; from suits, jacket, coats, and Zegna logo embossed suede shirt jacket and black leather bomber. It also features jeans alongside western ankle boots and long woven belts.

The collection will be commercially available from September 2020 and distributed through Ermenegildo Zegna’s selected boutiques, zegna.com, as well as an exclusive network of international speciality stores aligned with the unique spirit expressed in the project.
