The combination of Berluti’s designs and Eddie Peng’s charm creates the perfect image of a modern gentleman with elegance in confidence.
Berluti has just launched its Summer 2020 campaign featuring brand ambassador Eddie Peng. Produced by world-renowned M/M (Paris) Studio under the direction of Berluti’s Artistic Director Kris Van Assche and shot by Aladair McLellan, Peng is portrayed wearing a series of pieces from the brand’s summer 2020 collection. The bright and passionate color palette of the collection, together with Peng’s natural charm, showcased the image of a modern gentleman with a free and adventurous spirit.
Photographer Aladair McLellan, by the way, has been a close friend of Berluti for quite some time and this is actually his making his third campaign for the maison. This time, he not only captured a series of stories between the quintessential Berluti gentleman and ancient Rome through lights and shadows, but also created a tunnel of time and space connecting modern and retro auras.
The campaign series—elaborately exhibited in a serene storytelling flow—also showcases Peng wearing Berluti’s blue coat in fine suede and embedded with Scritto—an iconic pattern in the house’s heritage—highlighting a fresh re-interpretation of aesthetics for the season. The vivid blue flash outlines Roman sculptures, highlighting the distinguished design of Berluti in an elegant contrast of colors.
