Romantic comedy is a cinematic light bite that effortlessly suits everyone, especially during year-end holidays.
Girls desperately want to be in it, and guys hope to draw some romantic inspirations out of it. More often than not, rom-coms are there merely to entertain, while the good ones remind us the value of relationships. A modern favorite, “Love Actually,” which story is set on Christmas, narrates several plots: a high profile individual being attracted to a commoner, unspoken love coming to a revelation, and love that overcomes all challenges. Directed by rom-com specialist Richard Curtis, who had garnered positive reviews from “Bridget Jones’s Diary” and “Notting Hill,” this is a feel-good movie that’s both entertaining and packed with big talents.
