First introduced on the fall/winter 2020 runway in Paris, dunhill’s Lock Bag took inspiration from the classic attaché case—a symbol of executive British style. It is also a part of the wider Lock Collection.
With dunhill’s characteristic deeply ingrained in the bag’s DNA, a solid frame maintains the structured shape, lined with padded nylon to protect the contents inside. The bag is produced in smooth box calf leather, which is a durable material that ages well over time and will allow each bag to develop its own individual patina and character. There are three choice of colors for this bag: black, ink and oxblood. The Lock Bag is part of the wider Lock Collection, with other alternative styles including the messenger bag and attaché case.
Inspired by the textures and finishes of the house’s Rollagas lighters, as well as 1970s archive packaging, two unique metallic styles—AD brass and AD silver— are also available in a collision of tradition and subversion. These ones are produced in limited numbers and manually assembled from four laser-cut panels. The signature barley and dunhill long tail logo patterns are added as finishing touches.
Each style also feature a polished brass lock drawn from the brand’s archives, reimagined with the founding year of dunhill and engraved longtail logo.
