Dior Present Its First Ever Surfboard

A limited-edition release of one hundred numbered surfboards

As a continuation of their collaboration, Shawn Stussy and Dior presents the first ever Dior surfboard. Limited to one hundred numbered editions, the exclusive piece celebrates the sunny spirit of the Fall 2020 Dior Men’s show presented in Miami, designed by Kim Jones in collaboration with artist and surfer Shawn Stussy.

The surfboard’s shape, known by the name “The Gun,” comes with a streamlined silhouette and is fitted with a special fin that eases drive even in the most powerful waves. Stussy mentioned that he wanted to create a streamlined board with elongated curves and subtle Dior colors that would seem to dance on the ocean. The board comes in a color palette of gray and “Ice Blue” with a white base, with one side featuring the “Dior” signature collage from the brand’s Fall 2020 men’s collection.

“Shawn Stussy is one of my great heroes,” stated Kim Jones, Artistic Director of Dior Men. “He started out as a surfer, making his own boards and painted his name on them. It was quite natural for me to ask him to work together on the very first Dior surfboard.”

Each board requires 72 hours to make and is treated like a work of art, for surf lovers and collectors alike.
