Making its debut during the recent Milan Fashion Week, DIESEL collaborated with 55DSL to create a completely reimagined limited-edition capsule collection as the result of reworked deadstock, archive pieces, and prototypes.
Both brands injected bold dashes of color, tie-dye treatments, usage of mineral dyes, unique material play, and overlapping logos to create, presenting a not just a colorful and one of a kind street-sporty aesthetic, but also an industrialist feel. Some of the key pieces include an industrialist reconstructed denim jacket and parka.
DIESEL’s Upcycle collection with 55DSL is the first major initiative aligned with DIESEL’s For Responsible Living strategy in hopes reduces the consumption of raw materials, as well as decreasing energy use, air and water pollution, and greenhouse gas emissions through upcycling. Each piece also has a QR code that can be scanned, directing the purchaser to a landing page that will detail the making of the garment, with a photographic timeline of all the processes used.
Limited to only 5055 pieces, DIESEL UPCYCLING FOR 55DSL collection is available on diesel.com, in select DIESEL flagship stores, and in a network of selected retailers worldwide.
