<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">DestinAsian Media Group kicked off its 25th anniversary celebration on July 15, 2026 with an exclusive private screening of Christopher Nolan&#8217;s latest feature, &#8220;The Odyssey.&#8221; Hosted alongside founder Ronald Liem at The Premiere Cinema XXI in Plaza Indonesia, the evening welcomed a distinguished gathering of public figures, cultural tastemakers and longtime supporters of the media house, including readers and friends of <em>DAMAN</em> magazine.</span></p>

<p data-start="1074" data-end="1575">Before the film began, guests were invited to look back on DestinAsian Media Group&#8217;s 25-year publishing journey, tracing its evolution from a regional travel title into a multi-brand luxury media company. A brief presentation by J&amp;J Dental Center followed, setting the stage for the evening&#8217;s main event. By opening its milestone anniversary with a major cinematic release, the media group underscored its longstanding commitment to storytelling and the cultural conversations that shape its audience.</p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The centerpiece of the evening was Nolan&#8217;s highly anticipated follow-up to &#8220;Oppenheimer,&#8221; which won Best Picture at the 2024 Academy Awards. Renowned for his intricate, nonlinear storytelling and recurring explorations of time, perception and memory in films such as &#8220;Inception&#8221; and &#8220;Interstellar,&#8221; Nolan turns his attention to 12th-century B.C. Greece for his latest project.</span></p>

<p>The film adapts the classic epic, following Odysseus, played by Matt Damon, the King of Ithaca, on his grueling decade-long journey home after the Trojan War. As he confronts mythical trials and the grief of losing his crew, the story also returns to Ithaca, where his wife Penelope, played by Anne Hathaway, and son Telemachus, played by Tom Holland, struggle to protect their kingdom from aggressive suitors seeking the throne, led by the ruthless Antinous.</p>
