DA MAN: If you had to pick one place of all the ones you’ve visited, where would you like to live?
Daniel Di Tomasso: Man, I’ve been to some pretty great places. Cambodia comes to mind as one of my favorites. If I had to choose a place to live though, I’d probably want to live in Paris again. No other city inspires me the way Paris does. My wife and I think about moving back there all the time.
DA MAN: You and Kei Moreno seem to be a really solid team; not only as model and photographer but also as husband and wife. Would you mind giving us a glimpse into your life as a married couple?
Daniel Di Tomasso: Kei and I met in Milan about nine years ago. I kept running into her around the city and after asking her out half a dozen times, she finally agreed to meet me for gelato (apparently Italian gelato really is the best way into a woman’s heart). About a month later we moved to Paris together. I’m a very lucky man. I think we make a great team. We both love art and have chosen to pursue careers in art. It can be both a gratifying and frustrating process. It is nice to share the experience together.
DA MAN: What are your plans for 2016, career-wise and personally?
Daniel Di Tomasso: I’m excited for 2016. I have a couple of irons in the fire at the moment. Myself, and a couple of producer friends have a project we’d like to get off the ground in the coming year. I’m excited for an education in production and looking forward to the challenge. On the personal front, Kei and I want to go back to Southeast Asia. We travel quite a bit for work but don’t always have the chance to go together. We’re going to try and make it a point this year to take some time for ourselves and explore a part of the world we haven’t spent much time in.
