DAMAN VIP Experience: Happy Hour With Grand Seiko Indonesia

A short while ago, DAMAN held a Happy Hour session in collaboration with Grand Seiko at Independent, located on the Ground Floor of Pacific Place, Jakarta. This premium watch boutique managed by EBI Watch, which brought Grand Seiko to Indonesia.

Grand Seiko was established in 1960 and became the best expression yet of the philosophy laid out by Kintarō Hattori, the founder of Seiko, that his company should be “always one step ahead of the rest.” More recently, Grand Seiko has repositioned itself from a subbrand of Seiko towards becoming a true luxury brand that stands on its own. Among watch connoisseurs and haute horlogerie enthusiasts, it is best known for its revolutionary Spring Drive movement and its distinct dials which pay homage to the natural beauty of Japan, most notably the “Snowflake” dial on the SBGA011.

Back to our Happy Hour session, the event was hosted by young entrepreneurs Larry Widjaja and Kama Sulaiman, who came to the event together with their watch enthusiast friends. The afternoon started with a private tour showcasing the latest novelties from Grand Seiko, and was then followed by a mini photo session for the gents with their favorite Grand Seiko pieces. The day was then closed with a cocktail-making demo that was inspired by Grand Seiko Sakura and Snowflake watches.
