Converse’s Iconic Chuck 70 Gets A Two-Tone Reconstruction

Converse’s Chuck 70 was the staple basketball shoe of the ’60s and ’70s. Fast forward to today, and it is still one of the most iconic shoe to have ever existed—and now it’s getting itself reconstructed.

Converse has reconstructed its legendary high-top Chuck 70 sneaker, offering “Black” and “White & Off-White” iterations of the revamped silhouette. Sticking to its heritage, the iconic footwear is crafted in its traditional canvas fabric that comes with a split right in the middle.

While both models feature black and orange stripes on the welt, the “Black” version takes on more contrasting colors with an additional hint of purple on its off-white rubber midsole and sole. The shoe is finished with branding details that can be seen on the orthodox heel patch and logo plate, tied together with tonal laces for a clean finish.

The Converse “Black” & “White & Off-White” Reconstructed Chuck 70 High are both available now on SSENSE for USD85 .
