TIME TO SAY GOODBYE. After 17 years, Burberry’s brand president and chief creative officer, Christopher Bailey departs from the British fashion house
After 17 years in Burberry, Christopher Bailey is set to step down as the brand’s president and chief creative officer—two stations he occupied since May 2014. He will resume his position in the brand until March 31, 2018 before leaving on December 31, 2018. “It has been the great privilege of my working life to be at Burberry, working alongside and learning from such an extraordinary group of people over the last 17 years,” Bailey said. He also mentioned that leaving Burberry was not an easy choice to make and noted that Burberry’s best days are still ahead. “I am excited to pursue new creative projects,” he concluded, “but remain fully committed to the future success of this magnificent brand and to ensuring a smooth transition.”
