AS U PLEASE. With two collaborative capsule collections under their belts, Uniqlo and Christophe Lemaire seemed to have manifested a creative synergy
So, it didn’t sound so far-fetched when news broke out that the ex-creative director of Hermès womenswear finally signed up as the new artistic director for a brand new line called Uniqlo U.
At the same time, Lemaire also took the helm of a new Uniqlo research and development center in Paris (pictured above is him and the whole team), which helps reinforce the creations and designs of the brand’s affordable and wearable essentials.
Debuting during the Paris Couture week last July, Uniqlo U’s premiere collection will hit stores, both online and physical, starting October 14.
In the meantime, Uniqlo U has just released the images of the campaign and the entire collection on its dedicated website.
As expected from a fall/winter collection, the men’s range is dominated by season-appropriate items, from sweaters, jackets, coats, parka, long-sleeved shirts and trousers with a color palette that is similar to Lemaire and Uniqlo’s previous two collaborative collections’.
In total, there are 34 pieces in the men’s collection. See our favorites below:
