Christian Louboutin’s new signature sneaker, the Arpoador, is born out of the designer’s enduring love of Rio.
The sneaker named after the renowned rock and surf spot between the Copacabana and Ipanema beaches. An all-terrain slip-on sneaker, its flexibility and versatility are inspired by the graceful movements of Capoeira dance, while the contours of its streamlined silhouette are a nod to the curves of renowned Brazilian architect Oscar Niemeyer. Featuring an innovative, highly technical and complex three-part construction, the Arpoador will launch an Asia regional exclusive colorway: glittery black in 100 limited pairs alongside tan, grey and Louboutin red.
