IWC Schaffhausen launched its shark-themed limited edition watch with a party that was attended by a sharp-looking crowd
As a part of its commitment to the environment, IWC Schaffhausen has launched a new limited edition watch, the Aquatimer Chronograph Edition “Sharks.” Identified by an engraving of hammerhead sharks on its caseback, the watch is retailed together with a copy of a book by photographer Michael Muller of the same name. Published by Taschen, the book features stunning photographs of sharks and is encased inside a bite-proof metal shark cage.

Michael Muller’s “Sharks”
Mostly known as the photographer of Hollywood celebrities, Muller embarked on a daredevil journey to document the sharks without the protection of an iron cage. Instead, he approached them with a 1.200-watt underwater strobe lighting rig, allowing him to take the photos from unprecedented angles.
The launch of both the watch and the book was held last week on December 8. Taking place at the IWC Schaffhausen Boutique on Rodeo Drive in Los Angeles, it was attended by celebrity guests, including our former cover star Daniel Dae Kim. Check out some photos from the event below:
