Echoing Emotions

Rolex Oyster Perpetual GMT-Master II
This year, two new Oystersteel versions of the Oyster Perpetual GMT-Master II were unveiled by Rolex. The first watch is equipped with an Oyster bracelet, whereas the second sports a Jubilee bracelet. Both watches are adorned with a 24-hour graduated two-color Cerachrom bezel insert introduced last year in grey and black ceramic. The black lacquer dial prominently displays “GMT-Master II” in green, harmonizing with the color of the triangle-tipped 24-hour hand, a crucial design feature of this model. The latest GMT-Master II is driven by the Calibre 3285, a movement that allows it to indicate the date and an additional time zone in a 24-hour format, along with the standard hours, minutes, and seconds.

History in the Making

Longines HydroConquest GMT
Longines has a long history of creating timepieces with the GMT complication. In 2024, the winged-hourglass brand expanded its HydroConquest GMT collection that made its debut last year. Powered by the exclusive Longines calibre L844.5 and housed in a 43mm stainless-steel case—slightly larger than last year’s models—the new HydroConquest GMT comes with three dial options: green, black and blue, all with a sunray finish. Another highlight of the design lies on the dial, as the arrow-shaped GMT hand has a black, orang or blue tip depending on the dial color, while the 24-hour scale comes in two tones to mark the transition between day and night.
