An intriguing behind-the-scenes perspective of the Octo Finissimo Perpetual Calendar, the seventh world record that pushes the limits of contemporary Haute Horlogerie
For the seventh consecutive year, Bvlgari has broken the ultra-thin and ultra-complicated watch world records with the Italian design and mechanical performance of the Octo Finissimo.
After exploring ultra-miniaturization in the fields of the automatic movement, the minute repeater, the chronograph and the tourbillon, the storied Roman watchmaker unveiled its seventh world record-breaking creation earlier this year: the Octo Finissimo Perpetual Calendar. Available in two variations, the “signature” titanium like all Bvlgari’s World Record and a platinum version, the slimmest perpetual calendar watch on the market features a total thickness of just 5.80mm.
In this video, Bvlgari Watches Creative Director Fabrizio Buonamassa shares his thoughts on the past triumphs of the Octo Finissimo collection, and what the new perpetual calendar means for the evolution of the saga.
As for the watch itself, enjoy more glimpses of its design elements in its official teaser along with the rest of Bvlgari’s world record holders:
