With its Octo Finissimo line, the Roman house has rewritten the rules of what ultra-thin timepieces can look and feel like—not just mechanically but also in spirit. This year, Bvlgari introduces three striking new interpretations of the Octo Finissimo, each a study in contrast: powerful yet refined, intricate yet minimal, rooted in tradition yet unapologetically modern.
Ten world records in just eleven years have cemented Octo Finissimo’s reputation as a pioneering force. But more than chasing titles, Bvlgari’s mission has always been to strike balance—between form and function, style and substance. According to CEO Jean-Christophe Babin, the line wasn’t designed to be thin for thinness’ sake. It was built around spatial intelligence: maximizing density and efficiency to create movements that integrate seamlessly into bold, sculptural designs.
This season’s new releases push that vision even further with a marble-clad tourbillon watch inspired by Roman majesty, a perpetual calendar in warm rose gold and a sleek skeletonized model with a remarkable eight-day power reserve. Each one tells a distinct story of heritage, ingenuity and timeless artistry.
Octo Finissimo Marble Tourbillon
Perhaps the most poetic of the trio, the Octo Finissimo Marble Tourbillon merges cutting-edge horology with Italy’s architectural soul. Housed in a 40 mm yellow gold case just 4.85 mm thick, its dial is carved from Verde Alpi marble—a rich green stone long associated with Roman temples and cathedrals. Framed in gold and paired with a green alligator strap, it pays homage to the Eternal City’s enduring influence.
Inside, the watch features the BVL 268 caliber: a hand-wound movement just 1.95 mm thin, complete with a flying tourbillon. The marble dial itself is only 0.8 mm thick—a feat of craftsmanship that reflects Bvlgari’s mastery in working with precious, challenging materials. More than a watch, it’s a wearable sculpture—equal parts movement and monument.
Octo Finissimo Perpetual Calendar

The perpetual calendar has long been one of watchmaking’s most revered complications. It keeps track of the day, date and month—and even leap years—without manual adjustment, requiring a mechanical memory that spans more than four years. Bvlgari’s latest interpretation sets this intricate function in microbead-frosted rose gold, producing a soft matte glow that’s as tactile as it is elegant.
With a case just 5.80 mm thick, this 40 mm watch houses the BVL 305 caliber, an ultra-thin automatic movement measuring only 2.75 mm high. It delivers a 60-hour power reserve and maintains a clean, legible layout despite its complexity. First explored in the 2022 Octo Finissimo Minute Repeater, the micro-frosted finish gives the piece a contemporary, almost architectural presence—timeless in material, forward-looking in form.
Octo Finissimo Skeleton 8 Days

The final model embraces contrast in its most elemental form. The Octo Finissimo Skeleton 8 Days pairs a black DLC-coated titanium case with rose gold accents, creating a striking interplay of light and shadow. At its center is the BVL 199SK caliber—an openworked, hand-wound movement with black skeletonized bridges and, as its name implies, an extraordinary eight-day power reserve.
Measuring just 2.50 mm thick, the movement offers an expansive view into the watch’s mechanical core. The dial bears the inscription “Eight Days” beneath the Bvlgari signature, while a power reserve indicator and small seconds subdial bring symmetry to the design. A black rubber strap adds a sporty edge, making this model both visually captivating and effortlessly versatile.
With this latest chapter in the Octo Finissimo story, Bvlgari continues to challenge expectations in high watchmaking. These three models are more than just slim watches—they are bold statements of identity. Each unites the Maison’s Roman flair with Swiss precision, proving that innovation doesn’t have to be loud to leave a lasting impression. It only has to be beautiful, purposeful and uncompromising.
